  • Which agencies have approved ProDev to provide continuing education?
    ProDev has been approved to provide continuing education credits or units by the following organizations:
    • American Psychological Association*
    • Bureau of Behavioral Science (provider number PCE1315)
    • California Psychological Association
    • California Board of Behavioral Sciences
    • California Board of Registered Nursing
    • National Association of Social Workers
    • California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling (provider number 1S-02-482-0104)

    *ProDev is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. ProDev maintains responsibility for the program.

    Courses identified for physicians and offered by ProDev also satisfy the requirements for Category 11 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.

  • Will my state licensing board accept ProDev Continuing Education credits?

  • What if a course isn't approved by my licensing board?
    We are working on approvals from all major accrediting bodies, including the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, Association of Social Work Boards, and the California Peace Officers Standards and Training. If you don't see an approval you need, please contact us for additional information.

  • How do I get my CE certificate?
    After you have completed a course (including all of the self-tests interspersed throughout the course), you then will complete a brief evaluation on the quality of the course content and your experience. After you submit that form, you can receive your CE certificate. Just click on the appropriate link and you can print your certificate right from your computer.

  • How do I take a course?

    First: Click on the button representing your profession, or the "Course" button in the top navigation area throughout the site to view the courses available to you. To view a description of the course, click on the title of course.

    Second: To register for the course, click on the "Register" button located in the bottom left hand corner of the page. Follow the instructions on the following screens to complete your registration.

    If you registered for the course before, click on the "Resume Course" button located in the bottom right hand corner of the page or the "Login" button at the top-right throughout the site. After you log in, you will be given a list of courses if have any active registrations.

  • How much does the course cost?
    The cost for each course can be found on the course description page. However, if you have a discount code or are part of an agency that has purchased a block of courses, you need to enter this information in the "Discount/Agency Code" field on the payment page (after you log in). The discount will automatically be applied to the cost of the course and will be reflected on the confirmation page. If your course if pre-paid or complimentary, enter your discount/agency code and leave the credit card information blank.

  • How long do I have to complete a course?
    The duration of each course is displayed on the course description page. You will have two weeks to complete a four hour course, three weeks to complete a six hour course, and four weeks to complete an eight hour course. You will be sent a courtesy email two days prior to the expiration of the course to remind you of the time limit.

  • What happens if I don't complete the course in the amount of time allotted?
    You will receive an incomplete for the course. This information will not be sent to any agency or licensing board.

  • What are the billing and reimbursement policies for courses?
    When you initially register for a course, your credit card will be billed for the cost of the course. The cost of the continuing education credits is included in the fee. There is no reimbursement for the course once you have registered. However, if for any reason the course is discontinued or cancelled by ProDev prior to your completion of the course within the specified time limits, you will be notified and your fee will be refunded to you in full.

  • Can I leave the course environment without completing the course?
    Yes. You may leave the course environment at any time. When you wish to continue, simply click the "Login" button at the top right throughout the site. Enter your username and password to log in. You will then be presented with a list of your active courses. When you click on a link to an active course, you will resume the course at the same point that you exited.

  • What if I forget my username or password?
    If you forget your username or password, click here to look them up. If this doesn't work, contact us and request assistance.

  • Can I print out a hard copy of the course material?
    Yes, but only at the completion of the course. You can do this by clicking on "Download Course to File" and saving the course material to a file for later printing. You will not be able to save any of the video or audio clips, however the dialog from these clips will be available in text format.

  • What are the minimum browser requirements?
    The minimum browser requirement is Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.0. Our courses work best with more current browsers and with fast connections.

  • How do I upgrade my browser?
    To check which browser version you have, click "Help" menu in your browser, and select the "About (Browser Name) option (i.e. "About Internet Explorer"). The number you see displayed by your browser is its version number. If your browser is less than 4.0, you should upgrade your browser.

    For optimal results, upgrade your browser with a current version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator.

  • How do I receive technical support?
    For technical support, please click here to contact us. Please be sure to include as many details regarding the problem and the course you were working on at the time of the problem.

  • When I press next during the course it take me back to the beginning. What do I do?
    This is a problem that typically occurs when a customer is using a dial-up connection, but it could happen with any connection. To stop this from happening and continue on with the course, you need to clear out your temporary internet files, history, and cache.

    For Internet Explorer users:
    1. Open up an internet explorer browser window and click "tools" at the top left
    corner of the window.
    2. Click "internet options."
    3. Then click the buttons "clear history" and "delete files..." You may also want
    to click "delete cookies..." as well.

    For Opera/Mozilla/Netscape/FireFox/Other Users:

  • When I try to go back to the course content it keeps trying to charge me even though I have already paid. What do I do?
    Please use click here. Then enter your username/password combination to login. On the page that follows you will have the option to "Continue this course." Click that link and you will be able to start from exactly where you left off.
