Clinical, Academic, and Research Experience:

    Dr. Brodine is a full professor at San Diego State University and is the Director of the Joint Doctoral Program in Epidemiology for San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. She was one of the first physicians in the United States to identify and track sub-types of the HIV virus and is the Principle Investigator on the Molecular Epidemiology of HIV Seroconvertors project for the Department of Defense. She is also an Associate Investigator and Mentor for the Primary Care Research Training Program at the UCSD Medical Center. She also serves as a Member on the Executive Council for the Safe Communities Coalition. Dr. Brodine's work has not been limited to the United States. She is part of the research and intervention team that is addressing AIDS in Africa, and is a member of the Tijuana River Basin Project.
